Great breakfast was provided, and the staff are super nice even if there's a language barrier. It's a bit of a distance from the Onsen town but the staff picked us up from the train station and brought us to the hotel, then dropped us back off at the Onsen town with a pickup time and location to meet them when it was time to leave. They even loaned us umbrellas due to the rain. If you're on a budget but want to go to Kinosakionsen town and have a nice stay you can't do much better than this

The manager of Morizuya did an amazing job. From parking our car, helping us choose a Yukata, giving advice for dinner options outside the ryokan to taking very professional photos of us in and around the inn in our Yukatas. He really wanted us to have the best time possible and we did. Our room was spacious. The inn had 2 baths (one indoor cave bath and one outdoor stone bath. You can use them privately in the afternoon and evening and they are public in the morning). Around check-in time you can also have a short tea ceremony, held by the manager's mother. My friends and I loved having that experience. Additionally you receive an Onsen pass, which you can use in all 7 bath houses in Kinosaki Onsen. It's valid until check-out day 3.30pm.

The hotel was beautiful. It centres around this lovely garden with koi carp in that in the evenings there's a projector on with a bit of a light display The staff were absolutely head of heels to help you. 10/10. They really can't do enough for you. The shuttle service into town was a life saver! Especially with those funky flip flops they have you wearing! The room was the biggest we had in our whole Japan trip for sure. Spacious and comfy and clean. We opted for the japanese experience of sleeping on the thin roll out mattress on the floor but it was a lot less comfortable than I expected. Nothing to do with them though, I asked for it and didn't like it

Nishimuraya Honkan is an absolutely superb ryokan and amongst the top ryokans I have visited across many onsen towns in Japan. We stayed 3 nights. The atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, the staff and service top notch, and the food is exquisite. Not all staff speak fluent English, but we had no issues communicating. We had the half board so dinners are served in our room while breakfasts are in a common room, with different menus every day. Every meal was meticulously prepared and a feast. We had the large Japanese style Horai room that had an open air bath (as well as open air shower - some may find it a bit cold in cooler months but it was fine for us in Spring), which was very enjoyable and relaxing. Don't miss the coffee/tea/juice area on the first floor that looks out to a lovely garden, and taking a walk in the garden to see their beautiful koi fish. Although the ryokan is about a 12 minute walk from Kinosakionsen Station, there is a bus from the station that can take you directly to the ryokan, and we were also able to get on the hotel's shuttle back to the station when we left. An amazing and highly recommended experience that's not to be missed if you ever visit Kinosaki Onsen.

This place is amazing. Great location right in the middle of the town. The service was super great, they helped us take the luggage when checking in and checking out. The room was hugee. I booked room for 3 and room for 2, somehow the room for 3 was so huge I think it can fit 6. The food was amazing and tasty. 10/10 will recommend it to other. I have stayed in other ryokan in kinosaki before, and this one was cheaper than my previous stay but the experience was wayyyy better
